The Airpoets (Joyce Brinkman, Ruthelen Griffith Burns, Joseph Heithaus, Indiana Poet Laureate Norbert Krapt, and Jeannie Deeter Smith), who began writing poetry together after their poems were selected to appear on colored-glass windows at the new Indianapolis airport terminal, will launch and sign their first collaborative book, Rivers, Rails, and Runways, at the Indianapolis Art Center, 820 E. 67th St. (Broad Ripple) on Aug. 27 at 7 pm.

The poets each will read four of their poems, and then they will take questions and requests from the audience. The first 100 copies of the book will be available for purchase ($14.99). Light refreshments will be served.
